Beaufort St Festival

What an amazing day we had yesterday, Beaufort St Festival started at 10am, we got there shortly after to see my son's school bands, which were amazing! Then we went for a wander through Beaufort St and the surrounding area, and wow, what a lot of unbeleivable talent we have around here. The atmosphere was fantastic, and it just got better as the day went on......

There was art everywhere, on the trees, on signposts, fences, walls, on the floor, balconies, everywhere imaginable! There were live bands playing all day long, fashion parades at Bamboo/Luxe, free tastings from most of the local cafes, vintage markets, competitions, live art, and so much more. Here's hoping there will be many more Beaufort St festivals as I'm sure that this one was a roaring success.

Finally!

After nearly 3 weeks without internet access from home, I'm finally back in the land of technology, and how good it feels! it's taking a little while to catch up on things that I didn't manage to get to while I was offline, but now i can start perusing posting and sharing some of my amazing finds, off to work to continue with the preparation of Pink Ribbon & NBCF fundraising morning tea, the generosity of some businesses in Northbridge and some of my colleagues has truly blown me away, I think this will be our best fundraiser yet!

Full Steam Ahead for Pink Ribbon

Wow, what a great response we've had from some local businesses offering their support for out fundraising morning tea for the fight against breast cancer.

Only too keen to help out were the Breastscreen WA, The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Neverfail, Universal Bar http://www.universalbar.com.au/, Rummage Accessories http://www.rummagedesigns.com.au/, Urbanistar, and Cafe Valentino http://www.valentino.com.au/.

For such a short amount of notice, our event has raised a lot of interest and I hope that this will be the biggest Pink Ribbon fundraiser held within our office yet.

Big Thanks go to my amazing colleagues Stacey Tomsic and Shelley Bethell for their perseverance, passion and enthusiasm, every year they are the first to put their hands up, and there's no way this would come together so well without them.

November in Highgate

Some pix taken yesterday at Hyde Park, the pix don't really do it justice, November is my favourite time of year for Hyde Park, it just looks absolutely stunning, the colours remind me of Monet's 'Waterlilies'

I'm really impressed with the way Northbridge is shaping up, some great new additions to the William Street strip include 'Tu' http://www.tu.com.au which stocks some stunning dresses and some really funky accessories. Another store which caught my eye last week was 'Rummage', they have the most amazing accessories and some real statement pieces, i could have bought nearly the entire shop had I had the funds, absolutely amazing! http://www.rummagedesigns.com.au/.
Another retailer that I'm really excited about is Outre Gallery http://www.outregallery.com/ which has some great pieces from Angelique Houtkamp, Domonique Mitchelson, and Glenn Barr to name but a few.

This Saturday will be the inaugural Beaufort St Festival www.beaufortstreetfestival.com.au/
and the scheduled date for the opening of the much anticipated 'Malt Supper Club'   http://www.maltsupperclub.com.au/.
Another newcomer to the Beaufort St strip will be on 560 Beaufort St, this new venue comes from '399's Gary Beadle and Andy McIntyre, also scheduled to open on Saturday 27th.

All happening in the lead up to 'silly season', I feel like it's already begun for me though with fun times on Saturday night for Lisa Chau's (Generics, Zanthus and Merge) www.genericsaccessories.com/ http://www.zanthusaustralia.com/http://www.mergeclothing.com.au/birthday celebrations at Clarence's, followed by more good times at Crown Karaoke http://www.mergeclothing.com.au/

Signing off now, still no internet access from home thanks to Telstra, hopefully back online on Wednesday.
