8 - An Exhibition of contemporary Jewellery

Featuring Helena Bogucki, Carolyn Gorman, Carrie McDowell, Claire Moody, Leah Tarlo and Fern Vallesi and of course my favourite Alister Yiap!

Alister was kind enough to invite me to the opening night of his latest exhibition '8' at the Heatcote Museum and Gallery, Applecross, and boy he certainly didn't disappoint!

There were some fantastic pieces at the exhibition from some really talented local artists, and I have to say, a lot of them were right up my street - out there, statement pieces, some with that macabre edge to them, some with a hint of bondage, but Alister really really blew me away with his pieces, had I been cashed up enough I think I would have bought every single piece of Alister's and some others in there!

Here are some pictures I took:

I'll definitely be going for another look as I didn't get to see all of the pieces there due to the popularity of the exhibition on the opening night, but from what I saw, I really really loved, and enjoyed the diversity of all of the artists.

Gisele like you've never seen her before, but still looking amaaazing, I love so much about this fun and edgy editorial

Lara Stone by Mikael Jansson for Interview May 2011

I'm in love with this latest editorial featuring Lara Stone, the bold colours, her bold new hair and the props just make it even more outrageous and fun! Kind of reminds me a bit of a David LaChappelle, only more toned down.
